Marine ecological security assessment from the perspective of emergy ecological footprint

نویسندگان

چکیده

Introduction Marine ecological security assessments are considered as a basis for coordinating marine economic development and protection. Methods We propose an assessment method based on the emergy footprint which first measures of natural elements ecosystem. Considering role economic, social waste discharge factors in ecosystem, evaluation index is constructed, dynamic conducted long time series data to characterize change trend security. Results The Guangxi ecosystem was selected case study, by collecting from 2008 2020. results show that Guangxi's has always been ecologically secure state, but since 2010, intensity increasing, indicating deterioration. Therefore, some targeted suggestions put forward. Discussion This provides new tool offers guidance sustainable utilization ecosystems.

Evaluation and Analysis of Eco-Security in Environmentally Sensitive Areas Using an Emergy Ecological Footprint

In this paper, the overall ecological and environmental sustainability in the Cing-Jing region in Taiwan is examined. As land use and cover change has been found to be an important analysis method, an emergy ecological footprint model was applied and the eco-security assessed to ensure authorities maintain a balance between ecological preservation and tourism development. While the ecological e...

Marine ecological footprint of the live reef fish food trade

The demand for live seafood in Asia has spawned a lucrative trade in live coral reef fish that in 1995 had a global annual retail value of over USD 1 billion (Johannes and Riepen 1995; Cesar et al. 1997). There are concerns that the live reef fish food trade is inflicting an unacceptably heavy impact on coral reefs and reef resources in Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific.5 These areas contain ...
